I like shorts.
Leisure, informal, light, cool, loose and easy to move.
I like shorts so much that I spend my time in shorts from mid-April to the end of October every year. I spend half of the year in shorts, so I feel like this is Southeast Asia, not Japan. In fact, due to global warming, the temperature is rising year by year and the amount of rainfall is increasing, so shorts are becoming more and more comfortable.
I fell in love with shorts because of the inspiration from the world's photographers and fashion. The relationship between shorts and photography is deeper than I expected.
The next reason is that it fits my lifestyle very well. Do all your work and personal affairs with shorts. The shorts season is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
But this year, I can't wear my favorite shorts.
As a shorts fan, this is a big deal.
That's why I'm talking about shorts this time.
1. Why can't I wear shorts this year?

I will send it by.
1. Why can't I wear shorts this year?
It says from conclusion.
Because I'm removing hair.
This year, I started to remove hair. I think I can write one chapter on this topic alone, so if anyone wants to hear it, I'll talk more about it.
There are two types of hair removal: medical hair removal and non-medical hair removal. The major features of medical treatment are that the device used is a laser, that drugs that suppress inflammation can be prescribed, and that anesthesia can be used during the procedure. There are many clinics in non-medical care, and photoepilation is the basis. It's not painful, but it's less effective, and you go there more often and more often.
What I receive is medical laser hair removal, commonly referred to as permanent hair removal. It takes 2 to 3 months to go according to the hair cycle. After being irradiated about 6 times a year, almost no hair grows. Of course, there are individual differences.
The laser used for laser hair removal reacts to the black part (melanin pigment). In other words, it uses a mechanism in which the laser reacts only to the black parts of the pores.
This will prevent you from getting sunburned. If you hit the sunburned area with a strong laser, it will react and you will get burned.
I'm currently removing hair from the neck down. Armpits, VIO (penis, testicles, anal), whole foot.
I'm not that hairy in the first place, but while listening to the story of hair loss from the model during shooting, I got interested in trying it myself. (Most Japanese female models have had their hair removed.) Among the male models, I had a good bite, and this was moved by the mysterious sense of mission that I had to experience as a photographer.
Sweat comes out of the hair roots, so you can keep your sides and genitals clean. Above all, cleaning hair loss will be easier. Once you have hair removed, you will have zero treatment time for the rest of your life. It also means that cleanliness is maintained when you get older and have your buttocks wiped (during long-term care). For this reason, I was able to hear from a nurse that there are surprisingly many people who lose their hair after they are 40 or 50 years old. Since the laser does not respond to gray hair, it seems that people who want to do hair removal are recommended to do it before gray hair.
The laser is very painful. It's almost torture. Lol
You might not have expected to hear about hair loss here, but I'm sorry if it made you feel uncomfortable.
2. Inspiration called shorts
The impact of my shorts was big twice.
The first is a German photographer, Yoganteller. (In Japan, it is written as Juergen Teller, but I prefer to use this notation because it is similar to Yogan in English pronunciation.)
If you don't know, please try google. The world's top fashion photographer.
I think there is no one who shoots fashion in Japan and is not influenced by this person.
I was also greatly influenced by my assistant days.
The shooting technique and photography were also a big shock, but more than that, he dressed well.
No matter how celebrity he shoot, whether it's a world campaign with a budget of about 15 million on billboards around the world, ASICS running shoes, shorts, and soccer T-shirts are all you need. This figure looked very cool, even if it was dull.
Like Terry Richardson, world-renowned photographers make themselves iconic. He deliberately wears the same clothes every time and pushes his character very strongly.
In the case of Juergen, it was running shoes and shorts.
The second shock was Raf Simons, who was enrolled in Dior.
I think it was a documentary film, but Rough, who was preparing for the show around March, suddenly appeared on the scene in shorts. I still clearly remember the coordination at that time. Leather shoes, a shirt on the inner, a navy knit from above, and pure white shorts.
I was shocked by the coolness of him who appeared on the scene as a person who works, and at the same time, I felt that I understood (received) the work of a fashion designer in an instant.
I don't know of any other designer who designs fashion and at the same time creates the "now" of the brand from his own style so naturally. Not only the clothes I made, but also the kindness to the staff around me.
It was fashion that the time was around March, which is a little early to wear shorts. Raff was told by a close staff member when he saw the shorts, saying, "Oh, it's already spring today, it's wonderful." I was also shocked by this. It's like the "sense of time" that fashion has. The newness of surprise. Get ahead of time. Rather than removing it, it means wearing clothes for the new season at the right time, whether it is removed or not.
What I experienced here was a perfect example of the stylist Daisuke Iga, who I met later, and it reminded me of Raf Simons again.
I had such a shock twice, and when I realized it, I became a shorts fan before I knew it.
3, My Best Shorts (3 selections)
There are many shorts I would like to wear.
However, it is a nature that has few favorite things.
Therefore, I have worn three shorts so far (since I received the above impact). Of course, when I was in elementary school, I wore the strongest shorts called athletic clothes.
If you write in chronological order
1. ACNE STUDIOS cotton shorts
Inspired by Rough, I tried ACNE STUDIOS cotton shorts.
A slightly slim type before it became a fat design like it is now.
I think I've been wearing it for about 3 years. Made in Italy, it was comfortable to wear and the silhouette was great.
This gave me an idea of what good shorts are.
2. karrimor trekking shorts
These shorts were used for running even before I was inspired by the Juergen Teller.
Sometimes I layered spats and used them for mountain photography.
Even though it's an outdoor brand, it wasn't unfashionable at all, and it had a sharp silhouette and an exquisite sense of size above the knees. Furthermore, because of the water-repellent finish and nylon material, there was no problem even if I continued to wear it without washing it.
I wore it everywhere in Indonesia, Taiwan, travel and beaches.
I think I've been wearing it for a total of about 6 years.
I think I've been wearing it for about a year since I liked it so much that the zipper in my pocket broke. It was an item that I realized that its durability is unique to outdoor brands. It's so great that I want to wear the same thing again.
3. Patagonia buggy shorts
While karrimor was ruined and looking for the next shorts, he came across Patagonia's buggy shorts.
These shorts are so-called bestsellers and masterpieces, and are being sold every year with color variations and minor updates.
The ultramarathon and people on the long trails wearing these buggy shorts were featured, and I fell in love with the worn-out texture.
Even though it is nylon, it is irresistible that it is worn. Lol
I don't really like the deep pockets, but otherwise it's great. Especially because it has an inner mesh, it can be used as sea bread. I spent most of the hot summer days last summer with no underwear thanks to these shorts.
Running, everyday wear, work clothes, pajamas, I think I went with this last year. The depth of the pocket has also changed to something like attachment.
For the reasons I mentioned at the beginning, I can't wear my favorite shorts this year.
However, I don't have to get sunburned, so I'd like to find a quick time to go out and have fun.
SFS, a garage brand specializing in pants, is in charge of shooting looks.
There aren't many shorts, but there are a lot of interesting pants out there, so if you're curious, check them out.
